Well after a fresh setup and some tweaking, we have a new Gallery setup on Sexto9.com. It’s now easier than ever to navigate around the galleries… it’s also in line with the new look of the site! We’ve added a bunch of unseen pics, returned some old ones from previous galleries (autographs) and are still in the process of adding more. (We have tons of pics we didn’t even realize we had!) Be sure to drop by the forum and let us know what you think.
(the links in the menu should work as before…)
After some time of having few updates we now have a bunch of new favorites online, these are albums that were featured on the show (meaning that 3 tracks were played during the show in which they were featured) look for more online soon!
I’ve finally gotten around to putting a new design online, bear with me while I weed out some leftover code from the old page. However almost everything should work as it did before…
We are very sad to hear that Voivod’s guitarist Denis ‘Piggy’ D’Amour passed away Friday night.
We send our deepest condolences to his family and friends and of course the rest of the Voivod guys, they all must be devastated and our thoughts are with them
We thank you Piggy for all the great music that you’ve left us and will go on forever, we’ll keep playing it loud and proud for the world to hear!
Here’s a photo of the new additions to the Sex to 9 family, just in case you hear them in the background during the show… now you know!
This weekend we’re celebrating the show’s anniversary. It feels like it was only yesterday but it really was 6 years ago that Sex to 9 with Maria was born and heard on the airwaves for the first time.
And what a ride it has been! I have been privileged to meet some of the best and brightest musicians and work with some of the most talented people in the industry. To all of them my most sincere gratitude.
Moreover, I’ve been honoured and blessed with the most supportive and dedicated audience. Without you, the listeners, the show would simply not exist. You’ve created the Sex to 9 family and I’m forever grateful for your knowledge, your tireless enthusiasm and your friendship. Thank you guys, these 6 years are as much yours as mine!
Finally, we wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for my beloved Yoda. Without his knowledge, his unconditional support and his endless encouragement (including some well needed ‘kick up the ass’), the show would have not returned to the airwaves after its ‘imposed’ sabbatical. What a lucky lucky woman I am!
So here’s to many more years of wonderful Fridays and great music!
See you all on the airwaves!
Unfortunately due to a power cut in the Totalrock studio the show was cut short. We expect tomorrow’s repeat will be of an older show due to time constraints… ah well, I guess we get to play a lot of the same stuff again next week! Until then…
This Friday (March 11) is going to be Tommy’s day on TotalRock. We’ll be celebrating this wonderful man’s life and his enormous contribution to our lives.
The show will be from 6 to 8 pm UK time and we would like you to send your messages and your memories of Tommy with that special track that he introduced you to or that will always remind you of him.
You can put them on the forum or email them to me so that I can make sure we have the tracks.
Friday is going to be a very special day on TotalRock with a ‘jewel’ for all at 10pm UK time. You don’t want to miss it!
